The live streaming “Air Transportation of Hazardous Goods” was launched at 8 p.m. on Sept. 25th, giving an elaborate introduction to the whole operation process of hazardous goods’ air transportation as well as the solutions to difficulties. Having ploughed in the chemical industry for 25 years, Milkyway has always contributed to a safer society and higher-efficiency supply chain. Through live streaming, we hope to let more people know about hazardous goods and inject vitality and value into the compliance development of the industry.

Milkyway Greater China Air Freight BU provided detailed solutions for several categories of air transportation, including the pharmaceuticalcold chain, which needs to pay more attention to temperature control and linkage, and the corresponding packaging and documentation requirements for different classifications of lithium batteries. As well as how to economically and efficiently meet the needs of transporting samples with small quantities and large batches. Relying on the Group’s global site layout, combined with the policies of local customs, cargo terminals and shipping companies, the BU provided a variety of customized shipping solutions by integrating the characteristics of air transportation and express delivery services.
Q&A
1、经常说到锂电池超量，请问一下锂电池限量到底是多少 ？
锂电池的超量一般指的是，单件（单包装）的锂电池的锂净含量不能超过35kg，如果超过35kg，则在空运中属于禁止运输的范畴，当然也不是完全不能运输，可以通过走民航局特批通道。只不过审批流程的环节相对比较复杂。
1. The overload of lithium batteries has been mentioned frequently and may I know what is on earth the limit of the lithium battery？
A: Generally speaking, the “overload” refers to a single piece (single package) of lithium batteries lithium net content can not exceed 35kg, otherwise, it will be prohibited in air transportation. However, it is not completely banned from transportation, you can pick the special approval channel of CAA with a more complicated approval process.
2、4GV包装在上海禁止使用以后，是不是样品都需要做危包证？
2023年5月，上海全面禁止4GV免检包装，4GV包装只能当成普通的危险品包装看待，交货时需要提供危包证，这也给小样品的出运带来很多不便。但是除了4GV包装以外，我们还可以提供LQ限量包装的解决方案，只不过LQ的内包装的限量要比4GV包装略小一点，但是也能够满足大部分样品的出运需求。
2. After being banned in Shanghai, is it necessary to apply for a hazardous package certificate for each 4GV sample?
A: Since May 2023, 4GV has been banned from exemption packaging in Shanghai. 4GV package starts to be treated as ordinary hazardous goods packaging and needs a hazardous packaging certificate for delivery which will bring lots of inconvenience to the shipment of small samples. However, in addition to 4GV packaging, we can also provide LQ limited edition packaging. Although its inner packaging is slightly smaller than 4GV, it can also satisfy most of the samples’ shipping needs.
3、在冷链货物中，是否可以在货物中放置温度计来做温度检测？
可以的，但是需要注意的一点是，因为温度计中都通过锂电池拱顶，航空公司对锂电池品牌也有限制和要求。所以需要附带一份温度计的检测报告，并且在订舱的时候提前告知航空公司。
3. Is it possible to place thermometers in the clod chain cargo to take temperature?
Yes, but pay attention to one thing: thermometers are all vaulted by lithium batteries, airlines have restrictions and requirements on the brand of lithium batteries. Therefore, it is necessary to attach a test report of the thermometer and inform the airline in advance when booking the cargo.
